Residential Well Services
Common Problems & Solutions
When you have trouble with your well, Water Recovery Services is your first-responder for water well production, quality, or contamination problems.
We know how important, clean and reliable water is to your household. We’ll begin the process with a well log review, a site visit and evaluation of the well. From there we’ll develop a remediation plan to enhance the water yield or rehabilitate the well, which may include stimulation, cleaning, or sterilization of the well.
What is important to you, is important to us: that your well is functioning at it’s best capacity, producing clean, safe water.
Common Problems Found in Residential Wells
Bacteria
Water wells tend to be a highly effective incubator for bacterial growth, due to the combination of water, oxygen, and the presence of ground borne bacteria. Bacteria can be a highly effective means of plugging the well environment, pump, and plumbing systems in residential systems.
The WRS Inc. Solution: Environmentally safe chemical treatments are now available for cleaning and sanitizing water wells. Learn more about the 100% environmentally safe, Aqua Freed process.
Formation Plugging
Over years of use sediment and minerals tend to deposit in the cracks and crevices or aquifer supplying water to a well. Over years of service, this often results in diminished well production, if the trend is not reversed through well maintenance.
The WRS Inc. Solution: In addition to Aqua Freed, mechanical means are also used–bailing and brushing a well are utilized to clean and sanitize the well interior.
Low Yielding Wells
Many formations are reluctant to give up the water naturally found within the formation, due to lack of fractures or low porosity of the formation. Water cannot travel rapidly through a low porosity formation. Many new low-producing wells or wells that have been in service for years can be excellent candidates for a stimulation process to increase the porosity and yield of the well.
The WRS Inc. Solution: Formation stimulation can be accomplished by way of air jetting, surging, and compressed gases utilizing the Aqua Freed process.
From Our Clients…
Our well was producing no more than a half gallon per minute and we were rationing water. We had three choices: 1) drill a new well, 2) deepen the one we had, or 3) the least expensive option, have WRS Inc. treat our well. The WRS crew were friendly and efficient, the process was fascinating to watch, and in two and a half days the job was done. Result: our well went from half a gallon per minute to over twelve gallons per minute. This treatment really works! –Frank and Barb Peretti, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
